Clemson Football defeats Georgia Southern

Despite Struggling Offense, Tigers Stifle Georgia Southern for 22-7 Win

Clemson found themselves on a three-and-out on their first drive which was capped-off by a 38-yard punt by Jack Smith to end it. The Tigers recovered, however, after punt receiver Antavious Murphy fumbled the ball deep in Georgia Southern’s own territory. Their ensuing drive saw Christopher Vizzina finding TJ Moore for a 10-yard touchdown connection to give the Tigers their first – and only – touchdown of the evening.

Over the last couple months, college football fans have seen many decisions made by the NCAA over things like eligibility, suspensions, and legal action. A couple of the biggest names that the NCAA decided on were Trinidad Chambliss from Ole Miss as well as Brendan Sorsby from Texas Tech. Clemson Football Official Visit Weekend

After the 2025 season came to an end, the Tigers began focusing on continuing to build the 2027 recruiting class and prepare for the 2026 season. Clemson already had 5 commits come December and began hitting the ground running to add many more. The first few commits were 3-star linebacker Max Brown, 4-star QB Kharim Hughley and 4-star wide receiver Trey Wimbley. According to On3, Clemson has sent out three offers so far for the 2028 class. The first two offers were sent out together on June 1, to 4-star linebacker Jay Schell (Rabun Gap, GA) and 5-star defensive end Asher Ghioto (Jacksonville, FL).

Clemson vs. FSU Baseball

The top of the first inning started like most recent Clemson games. Dane Moehler, getting his second straight Friday start, got his first out against John Stuetzer but shortly after allowed a single from Brayden Dowd to get things started for the Noles.
