The National Scouting Combine, the premier platform behind the Senior Bowl and East/West Shrine Game, has released it's FCS Watchlist for the top defensive backs in consideration for an invitation to showcase their talent in front of professional scouts.
Two of Prairie View A&M's spring signees find themselves on the list. Payton Tally and Travor Randle are both high IQ DBs with a nack for finding ways to get themselves around the football to make key plays.

Randle especially has set himself a part during the spring and summer session as a leader in the defensive back room. He brings a wealth of playing experience with him to 'The Hill' as he logged over 1,300 snaps in 2023 & 2024 as a starter at ULM. During his time with the Warhawks, Randle amassed 108 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sack, 8 pass break ups and 1 forced fumble. According to PFF, he earned a 89% coverage grade last season while allowing 0 TDs.

Randle and his watchlist nod are a clear example of the talented transfers Coach Tremaine Jackson and his staff have recruited to join this upgraded Panther football team. With players of this caliber and a new high pressure scheme led by Coach Brandon Andersen and Coach Trent Earley, who join Jackson from Valdosta State, the Panthers are surely looking to have a much improved defensive unit show up on the field early in the season.
