5 Coaches the Cleveland Cavaliers should at least interview

The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired HC J.B. Bickerstaff after a 2nd round loss in 5 games to the Celtics. With already many questions to answer about this franchises future surrounding key players such as Darius Garland, Jarret Allen and Donovan Mitchell. This adds another question who will be the HC for the 2024-2025 season. So here are 5 Candidates Owner Dan Gilbert should really consider.

5. Caron Butler

Coach Butler has been a Pivotal part of the Miami Heat's recent success. He has only been coaching NBA for 5 seasons but he was a player for over a decade on numerous teams. Spoelstra is the best coach in the NBA no doubt so why not at least interview his one of his Top Assistants.

4. Kenny Atkinson

Kenny Atkinson has been on the bench for 20 years now, so he has a lot of experience. He is the former HC of the Brooklyn Nets. In 4 seasons, He only had only 1 playoff appearance and lost in the 1st round. He was never really given a fair roster to compete with. Well Now if the Cavs went after him, he would definitely have a much better roster this time. Kenny has been an assistant for Steve Kerr and the Warriors for the last 4 seasons and helped Golden State win a title in 2022.

3. Dave Joerger

Coach Joerger has a solid amount of experience as a HC at 2 different teams the former Grizzlies, and Kings Coach has been looking for another opportunity as a HC for a few years now. After a solid 3 year run as the Grizzlies HC including making the playoffs all 3 years and even winning a series he left for Sacramento where it didn't work out. Earlier this season he was with the Cavs as a consultant before taking a job on Doc Rivers staff in Milwaukee mid season. Joerger could end up being a solid choice as HC.

2. Micah Nori

The Ohio Native came out of the blue this postseason as being the active HC on the sidelines for the Timberwolves as Chris Finch recovers from Knee Surgery. Anthony Edwards and the whole Timberwolves team have had some very solid praise for the Interim HC. Also Nori has been an assistant for years in the league and now, after some actual head coaching experience, he will definitely be looking for a full-time job.

1. Frank Vogel

Yes, Frank Vogel is the number-one guy Dan Gilbert should target. Vogel has had a lot of success as a HC in this league, and the Cavs more likely need someone with high-level experience, and that is one of the main things coach Vogel would bring. He has won a championship and has had many deep playoff runs. His 1-year stint in Phoenix didn't go so well, and he got most of the blame, but he is still a guy who can be a high-level HC in the NBA.
