After two seasons with the Fighting Illini, Sophomore Guard Andre Curbelo announced that he will be entering the transfer portal. Curbelo is a 6'1 guard from Puerto Rico.
Curbelo will be expected to have many schools interested in him. Curbelo averaged 7.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists this season for Illinois.
Curbelo was injured for almost half of the season. His first year at Illinois was better because he averaged 9.1 points, 4.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds. It is safe to say that Curbelo has the talent to be great and who knows what could of been if he was not injured.
