Florida State made a MASSIVE statement as the Seminoles defeated the LSU Tigers in a nail-biting 24-23 victory in Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

What an absolute ball game. This Florida State football fanbase was starving for success given the forgettable last five seasons in Tallahassee. However, head football coach Mike Norvell continued to believe in this team and preached the term “response”.

This football team could have threw in the towel after allowing a 11 play, 99-yard drive to allow the LSU Tigers to pull within one point after redshirt sophomore running back Treshaun Ward fumbled the pitch on the 1-yard line when the Seminoles were leading by a score of 24-17 with 1:20 left in the fourth quarter.

However, LSU kicker Damian Ramos lined up for the PAT to send the game to overtime. FSU fans began to go into panic mode as the Tigers mounted a 13-point comedown in the span of four minutes and thirteen seconds. But, for the second time in the game, the Seminoles blocked a kick attempt by Ramos. Redshirt freshman defensive back Shyheim Brown stepped up to the plate and blocked the PAT to give the Seminoles the much-needed victory.
