David Shaw has resigned from Stanford

David Shaw has resigned as the head coach of the Cardinal. Stanford will officially be looking for a new coach after 12 seasons.


David Shaw has had a successful tenure at Stanford. Shaw started his Stanford career with a 82-26 record during his first eight seasons with the Cardinal. The 82-26 record includes three Rose Bowl appearances. That would mean they also won the PAC-12 championship three times.


After the 2018 season, where the Cardinal went 9-4 with a win in the Sun Bowl. Shaw has had a 14-28 record with lack of improvement showed every season.


Shaw will end off his 12-year Stanford tenure with a record of 96-54.
