Most schools have already sent out 2028 offers and even 2029 offers, but Clemson has always done things very differently when it comes to when offers get sent out and who they get sent to. Clemson does not send any offers to recruits that have not visited the campus yet, and they tend to wait until the first Swinney Summer Camp. High school athletes from rising 7th graders to 12th graders come to show their skills on the field in hopes of heading home with an offer or eventually seeing one down the road. The younger athletes come to learn from the Clemson coaching staff as well as players like Tait Reynolds, TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco and attempt to get on Clemson’s radar for future offers.
According to On3, Clemson has sent out three offers so far for the 2028 class. The first two offers were sent out together on June 1, to 4-star linebacker Jay Schell (Rabun Gap, GA) and 5-star defensive end Asher Ghioto (Jacksonville, FL).
It is way too early to know if Clemson gained any ground with Ghioto with having offers already from Florida, Miami, Georgia and Florida State. This is the price to pay when you wait longer than most schools to send out offers, but if there’s one thing for certain, never count Clemson out of the fight. Clemson does seem to be in good shape with Schell, but we will have to wait and see if that holds. Over the next few months, fans can expect to see more 2028 offers being sent out.
