Auburn transfer quarterback Bo Nix will be headed to Oregon. He announced on his Instagram around 6:10 PM EST. He spent three seasons with Tigers as the starting quarterback.
Nix finished the season with Auburn with stats of 11 passing touchdowns for 2,294 passing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns for 168 yards. Nix finishes his Auburn career with 7,251 passing yards, 869 rushing yards, 39 passing touchdowns, and 18 rushing touchdowns.
Nobody expected Bo Nix to leave Auburn in the first place but Oregon is perfect for him. Since Oregon now has a new coach. They would need an experienced quarterback. Since Anthony Brown is gone after this season. They were left with inexperienced quarterbacks. Those being Freshman Robby Ashford, Freshman Jay Butterfield, Freshman A.J. Abbott, Sophomore Bradley Yaffe, and Freshman Ty Thompson. Safe to say. That is a deep quarterback room. I would not be surprised if a few enter the transfer portal.
